Description
Fenugreek seeds - otherwise shamballa or hay fenugreek fruits, are used in medicine and cooking. Fenugreek is used in meat dishes, in the preparation of cheeses and soups. It goes well with vegetables - it adds a mushroom hue and aroma of mowed hay to dishes. Traditionally, utskho-suneli and basturma are cooked with Greek fenugreek.
Fenugreek has a beneficial effect on digestion, lowering cholesterol levels, and is used for bronchial and colds.
