Description
Palm oil is a vegetable oil obtained from the pulp of the fruit of the olive palm tree. Palm oil is made up of unsaturated and saturated fatty acids. It contains linoleic and oleic acids, stearic, myristic and arachidic acids. Palm oil is used in the production of specialized fats such as confectionery fats, milk fat substitutes, cocoa butter equivalents, cocoa butter substitutes, cooking fats, and in the production of margarines.
